EDWARD TROPHY - McEwan lying third in weather shortened event

Steven McEwan (Caprington) is lying in third place in the Edward Trophy at Glasgow Gailes, after the 72 hole event was cut to 54 holes due to thunder and lightning on Saturday 25th April which caused the cancellation of the second round.

McEwan shares third place with a two under par 69, and lies three shots behind the leader, Ross Kellett (Colville Park).

Players scoring 77 or better will complete the final two rounds on Sunday 26th April.

The Ayrshire players qualifying for the final days play are :-

69 - Steven McEwan (Caprington)
73 - Jamie MacKay (Kilmarnock Barassie)
73 - Chris Harkins (Ayr Belleisle)
77 - Kyle Smith (Troon Welbeck)

Ayrshire players who missed the cut were :-

83 - Keith Hamilton (Ayr Belleisle)
