SGU ORDER OF MERIT - McEwan & Stewart do double for Ayrshire
Steven McEwan (Caprington) and Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) achieved an Ayrshire double by winning the 2008 SGU Order Of Merit and Boys Order Of Merit titles respectfully.
McEwan led the Order Of Merit for many weeks before being confirmed as the winner after the final event, the Newlands Trophy at Lanark, this week.
McEwan amassed his total over eight of the counting events.

522.5 - Scott Hendry (Cardross).

450.0 - Keir McNicoll (Carnoustie).

362.5 - Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck).

Stewart, who also finished ninth in the Order Of Merit, took the boys title with 912.5 pts, from David Law (Hazlehead).
Kyle Smith (Kilmarnock Barassie) was 5th in the Boys Order Of Merit. Andrew Wright (Kilmanrock Barassie) tied for 26th place, David Wilson (Troon Welbeck) was 43rd and Scott Brown (Turnberry) was tied 47th.
