Steven McEwan (Caprington), who hails from the town famous for producing the sponsors product, opened with a 5 over par 76 in the first round of the Johnny Walker Championship being played at Gleneagles this week.
An invited amateur, along with fellow scot Kier McNicoll, McEwan opened well over his first nine holes, having started at the 10th, and reached the turn in one over par, before dropping four more shots on his closing nine.
