AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - League Championship latest

There have been more results notified in all four sections of the 2008 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship competition.

In SECTION A, Kilbirnie and West Kilbride scored the first two 6 - 0 wins of the season winning their home matches against Troon St. meddans and Troon Welbeck respectively.

In the other result in the section, West Kilbride's home match against New Cumnock was conceded by the visitors, giving West Kilbride a notional 4 - 2 win.

Present positions are :-

KILBIRNIE - played 5 - 16 pts
WEST KILBRIDE - played 4 - 12 pts
TROON WELBECK - played 6 - 12 pts
NEW CUMNOCK - played 3 - 2 pts
TROON ST MEDDANS - played 4 - 2 pts

in SECTION B, Prestwick St. Nicholas recorded their second successive 4 - 2 home win, this time over Largs.
In the other match played in the section this week, Largs were convincing 5 - 1 home winners in their local derby against Largs Routenburn.

LARGS - played 2 - 4 pts
LARGS ROUTENBURN - played 2 - 4 pts
IRVINE RAVENSPARK - played 1 - 0 pts
AYR BELLEISLE - played 0 - 0 pts

Dspite a 5.5 - 0.5 defeat at Kilmarnock Barassie, Caprington moved to the top of SECTION C with a 4 - 2 home win over Kilmarnock Barassie followed by a 3 - 3 draw, also at home, against Ballochmyle.

CAPRINGTON - played 6 - 14 pts
BALLOCHMYLE - played 6 - 12 pts
KILMARNOCK BARASSIE - played 4 - 10 pts
AYR DALMILLING - played 4 - 4 pts

Prestwick St. Cuthbert edged into a clear lead in SECTION D with a 3 - 3 draw away from home at Loudoun.

ARDEER - played 2 - 8 pts
LOUDOUN - played 2 - 2 pts
ANNANHILL - played 2 - 0 pts
