Two of Ayrshire's representatives in the British Boys Championship, being played at Royal Porthcawl this week, had mixed fortunes in their first round matches.
Former Ayrshire Boys Champion, Cameron Gray (West Kilbride) went down by 2 & 1 to J Yorke (Rowany), whilst Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) went through to round two, with a 4 & 3 win over G Wilson (Ladybank).
