An opening day 74 by Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) helped Scotland to fifth place after the first strokeplay qualifying round of the 2007 European Boys Team Championship in Denmark on Tuesday.
Performance of the day came from Stewart's Scotland team mate Sam McLaren (King James VI), who recorded a 4 under par 68, two shots better than the rest of the field.
