WORLD BOYS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Scotland finish 12th

Scotland finished well down the field in the World Boys Team Championship in Japan, ending the event in 12th place of the 14 competing countries.

Scotland's final total of 872 was a full 49 shots behind the winners Sweden, whose 823 shot total gave them a 9 stroke victory over runners up, and defending champions, Norway

Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) carded a final round 76 for an individual total of 287, leaving him one shot behind fellow Scot James Byrne, and 17 shots adrift of the individual winner, A. Kristiansen (Norway)
