Braehead and Troon St. Meddans are the first two teams into the last 16 of the 2007 Ayrshire Fourball competition.
The Braehead pairing of Sean Ingle and Andy Paton travelled to Irvine Bogside to beat T. Adrain & J. Patrick by 2 & 1 and now await the winners of the tie between Brunston castle and Wallacetown.
In the other 2nd round tie played so far, Frank Greer and Eamon McFadden of Troon St. Meddans had a comfortable 5 & 4 home win over A. Scanlon & A. Hughes of Auchenharvie, to book a 3rd round match against the winners of the Troon Portland Vs. Chase tie.
All second round ties are due for completion by 27th may 2007.
