Brian Moore (Largs) is the 2006 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions trophy winner after an entertaining final at a breezy Royal Troon on Friday 11th August.
Playing from the blue championship tees, Moore went behind for the only time in the match at the first when his opponent Henry Thomson (Irvine) started with a par.
Moore squared the match at the second, won the third to go one up and was never behind again, racing to a three hole lead at the turn.
The margin of lesad was never reduced to less than 2 holes in the inward half, with Moore eventually closing out the match by 3 & 2.
