Jamie Mackay (Kilmarnock Barassie) forged an early lead in his bid to defend the Ayrshire Junior Order Of Merit title he won in 2005, after winning the Prestwick Boys Open at Prestwick St. Cuthbert on Monday 3rd July.
Four Ayrshire player secured points when they secured top seven placings in the event, Malcolm Pennycott, Euan Brown and Alan Todd joining Jamie Mackay on the leader board.
Present positions in the Order Of Merit, after two events, are :
100 - JAMIE MACKAY (KILMARNCK BARASSIE)
50 - CAMERON GRAY (WEST KILBRIDE)
50 - JOHN SHANKS (ARDEER)
50 - MALCOLM PENNYCOTT (WHITING BAY)
10 - EUAN BROWN (KILMARNOCK BARASSIE)
