Skelmorlie have resigned from The Ayrshire Junior Golf League after only one season.
The most northernly member club of The League joined at the AGM of 2004, and competed in the 2005 championship, finishing bottom of their qualifying section.
Whilst addressing a number of issues relating to junior development within the club, resignation for the forthcoming season was intimated to the Ayrshire Junior Golf League Secretary this week.
The absence of Skelmorlie from membership will hopefully be a temporary one, and the club will be able to resume membership in 2007.
The resignation of Skelmorlie leavs the Ayrshire Junior Golf League with 18 member clubs for the forthcoming season.
