AYRSHIRE GOLF ASSOCIATION - St. Nicholas take Club Championship title.

Prestwick St. Nicholas took the Ayrshire Club Championship title on Sunday 3rd July, a full six shots ahead of their nearest rivals.

13 clubs competed in the event, held at West Kilbride Golf Club, with the best two scores from three counting towards the team total.

Gavin Lawrie and John Ashton recorded the best individual scores of the day, with one under pr 70's with lawrie taking the prize for best individual score, by virtue of the best last three holes.

Despite a creditable score 0f 75, Gavin Paterson provided the non counting score of the St. Nicholas trio.

Runners up were Loudoun on 146, J. Paton recording a 73, with an eagle two at the final hole, with G. Goodwin (73) and C. Bone (856) providing Loudoun's other returns.
