AYRSHIRE BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP - Menzies returns to defend title.

Iain Menzies (Largs) bids to defend the Ayrshire Boys Golf Championship trophy at Prestwick St. Nicholas on Thursday 4th August, when he heads a strong field in the 54th playing of the championship. Despite the absence of the new Scottish Boys Strokeplay Champion Steven McEwan (Kilmarnock Barassie), on international business, there are a number of very low handicapped players who will challenge for the title.

The championship is played over 36 holes strokeplay, and in addition the players returning the best 8 aggregate scratch scores will progress to contest the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship over the Prestwick Golf Club links from 11th to 13th August.

The draw for the Championship at St Nicholas on 4th August is undernoted.

Morning tee times are given, with the afternoon times scheduled to be 5 hours after the corresponding morning time.
