In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY, the first round matches were completed when Caprington beat Ardeer 4 - 0 at Kilmarnock. Caprington now play host to Irvine Ravenspark in round 2.
In the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Prestwick St. Cuthbert got off to a winning start in Section A, edging out their visitors, Annanhill, by 3.5 - 2.5 at Prestwick.
In Section C, Troon Welbeck and Ayr Belleisle fought out a 3-3 draw at Troon, whilst in Section D, two times defending champions Ardeer signalled their intention to hold on to the trophy with a 4 - 2 win at Skelmorlie in their opening match.
