After 11 events in this years Order Of Merit, Steven McEwan (Kilmarnock Barassie) has established a clear lead, which he consolidated recently with first placings at Irvine Ravenspark, Ardeer and Prestwick St. Nicholas. Stuart Robin (St. Nicholas) took over second place with a fourth placing in his home club event. With the Kilmarnock Barassie trio of McEwan, Robert McKnight and David Addison missing some of this weeks events, including the Ayrshire Boys Championship, due to their selection for the Boys Home Internationals, some of the other players will be hoping to gain ground on McEwan.
