There was a three-ball about to tee off ahead of us but, before they did, one of them asked us: "Do you want to go first? We don't want to hold you up."

There was a three-ball about to tee off ahead of us but, before they did, one of them asked us: "Do you want to go first? We don't want to hold you up."

We said our thanks and off we went.
Four holes in, we'd caught up with another three-ball and, without any hesitation, they stepped aside and waved us through.
You might think there's nothing remarkable about this. However, both three-balls were made up of kids who, at most, would have been no more than 14 or 15-years-old.
You know, it's so easy to criticise teenagers these days and lumber them with all kinds of negative labels. But these six kids were polite and displayed the kind of etiquette that many golfers two, three and four times their age just don't have.
A tip of the cap to all six of them! Keep up the good work, fellas, and keep enjoying your golf.
