Constant rain in the morning made conditions particualrly difficult, with AJGL officials doing a sterling job in keeping the greens clear of surface water throughout both matches.
In the scratch knockout competition for THE WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY, Turnberry faced West Kilbride in the final and emerged winners with a 4-0 match result.

The UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY final, where Turnberry faced Ayr Belleisle, was a much closer affair, with the match finishing as a 2-2 draw, and Turnberry taking the trophy by the narrowest of margins, 7-6 on the countbacl over the individual ties.

The remaining two Ayrshire Junior Golf League finals will be held at Loudoun Gowf Club on Sunday the 23rd of August.
Following his two hole home win over Harris Vennard (Ayr Belleisle) in their semi final played recently, Findlay Andrew, the 2025 Ayrshire Boys Strokeplay Champion, will play clubmate Gregor Hay (Turnberry) in the Ayrshire Junior Champion of Champions Trophy final, while the Ayrshire Junior Golf League final itself will be contested by Turnberry and Kilmarnock Barassie.
