AYRSHIRE WOMEN'S HANDICAP LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - Largs boost hopes of semi final spot

Largs boosted their hopes of a semi-final place in the Ayrshire Womens’ Handicap League Championship recently with a 4-0 home win over Prestwick St Cuthbert.

With away matches against Prestwick St Cuthbert and Ballochmyle still to play, the Largs team just need to win either tie to overtake Kilmarnock Barassie in second spot and almost ensure qualification for the semi-finals.

There are five fixtures remaining to be completed in the section, Ballochmyle having home ties against Largs and Prestwick St Cuthbert, who also have home matches against Largs and Loudoun still to play.

In SECTION B, a conceded tie by Royal Troon leaves Ayr Belleisle needing a draw or better in their final home tie against Caprington to edge ahead of Troon Welbeck and qualify for the semi-finals along with Caprington.

The remaining fixtures are due to be completed by the 4th of August, with the home and away semi finals due to be completed by the 25th of August.

The final is scheduled to take place during Finals Day on Sunday the 1st of September at Ballochmyle.
