SCOTTISH BOYS & GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIPS - No joy for Ayrshire at Moray as Broun and Duncan lose out.

Ayrshire hopes of a national title were dashed at Moray Golf Club on Friday, 6th July, when Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle) and Louise Duncan (West Kilbride) lost out in the latter stages of the boys and girls championships respectively.

In the semi final of the boys championship on Friday morning Jack Broun lost by 4 & 2 to the eventual winner Callum Wilson (Castle Park GC).

Louise Duncan won her semi final by 3 & 1 against Kirsty Brodie (Strathmore) on Friday morning but in the final in the afternoon she was overwhelmed  by her low scoring opponent, defending champion Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe), who was six under par when she closed out the title with a 4&3 victory.
