MARY McKENNA TROPHY - Two Ayrshire players in Scots team

Two Ayrshire players have been named in the Scotland ladies Vets. team to face the Irish ladies vets. in the annual challenge match for the Mary McKenna Trophy, which will be held at West Kilbride GC on Sunday 14th and Monday 15th April.

Former Ayrshire ladies' county champion Jane Finnie (Troon Ladies) is in the team for the first time and joins fellow Ayrshire player Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie), who is also a former winner of the county title.

This year the Scots are bidding to stop the Irish team winning the match for the fourth successive year.

Ireland won last year's match at Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club, dominating the second day singles to record a 9½-2½ victory margin, after the first day foursomes had been shared 2 - 2.
