THE AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Latest positions

The Ayrshire Scratch leagues continue towards their conclusion in September, with a number of results notified this week.

In DIVISION 1, holders Kilmarnock (Barassie) remain in front following a 3.5 - 2.5 home win over Irvine. Irvine ravenspark consolodated their position with a 4 - 2 home win over Loudoun and a 3 - 3 draw at home to Ayr Belleisle.

Present standings in Division 1 are :-

Kilmarnock Barassie - played 6 - 22 pts
Loudoun - played 8 - 20 pts
Irvine Ravenspark - played 9 - 16 pts
Troon Welbeck - played 7 - 14 pts
Irvine - played 8 - 12 pts
Ayr Belleisle - played 6 - 4 pts

In DIVISION 2, Ballochmyle suffered their first defeat of the campaign with a 4.5 - 1.5 defeat at Ardeer.

Present positions in Division 2 are :-

Ballochmyle - played 8 - 24 pts
Ardeer - played 6 - 14 pts
West Kilbride - played 5 - 12 pts
Kilbirnie Place - played 6 - 8 pts
Caprington - played 5 - 6 pts
New Cumnock - played 4 - 4 pts

in DIVISION 3, Tam O Santer wer unable to filed at team for their fixture against Troon St Meddans, resulting in a match score of 4 - 2 being credited to the Troon club.

Present positions in Division 3 are :-

Troon St Meddans - played 5 - 14 pts
Prestwick St Cuthbert - played 3 - 8pts
Largs - played 4 - 8 pts
Tam O Shanter - played 4 - 4 pts

In DIVISION 4, Turnberry edged to the top of the table following a 3 - 3 draw at home to maybole in their last match.

Ayr Dalmilling - played 4 - 12 pts
Maybole - played 5 - 10 pts
Prestwick St Nicholas - played 4 - 8 pts
Moorpark - played 4 - 0 pts

In DIVISION 5, Girvan received a 4 - 2 winning score in their match against Brunston castle after the home side were unable to provide a team for the scheduled fixture.

Doon Valley - played 4 - 6 pts
