AYRSHIRE SUMMER LEAGUE - Latest standings

All five divisions of the Ayrshire Summer Leagues are progressing well, with a number of matches completed recently.

In LEAGUE 1, Irvine and Irvine Ravenspark maintain the pressure on the defending champions and league leaders Kilmarnock (Barassie).

In recent matches, Ravenspark beat their hosts Ayr Belleisle by 5 - 1, fought out a 3 - 3 draw at home to Kilmarnock (Barassie) and had a 3.5 - 2.5 away win at Troon Welbeck, whilst Irvine had a good 4 - 2 win at Ayr Belleisle although this was offset by a narrow 3.5 - 2.5 home defeat by Troon Welbeck.

In LEAGUE 2, Ballochmyle remain clear leaders at present, a 4 - 2 win at Kilbirnie Place maintaining their advantage at the top of the table. Ardeer mproved their league position with a 3.5 - 2.5 win at West Kilbride and a 3 - 3 draw at Caprington.

In LEAGUE 3, matters remain very close with Largs just in front at present. Opening home wins for Largs by 4 - 2 and 5 - 1 over Troon St Meddans and Tam O Santer respectively were tempered by a 4.5 - 1.5 defeat in the return match against St Meddans whilst Prestwick St Cuthbert recorded their second 3 - 3 draw of the campaign, away to Tam O Shanter, who recorded their first win of the season, by 5 - 1, at home to Annanhill.

In LEAGUE 4, Turnberry made it two wins from two with a 6 - 0 win at Maybole whilst Ayr Dalmilling opened their season with a 4.5 - 1.5 win at Moorpark and a 3 - 3 home draw against Prestwick St Nicholas. Maybole bounced back from their heavy defeat by Turnberry with a 4 - 2 home win over Moorpark.

In LEAGUE 5, Girvan remain leaders, maintaining their 100% record with a 6 - 0 home win over Rowallan Castle. Rowallan Castle maintain their challenge to Girvan however, a 3.5 - 2.5 win away to Crosshouse keeping their hopes of promotion alive. After their first match defeat earlier in the summer, Doon valley recorded their first win of the season with a 4.5 - 1.5 result at home to Crosshouse.
