AYRSHIRE SCRATCH LEAGUES - Irvine lead the way in top division

Irvine Golf Club lead the way in the chase for the Division 1 title in the 2014 Ayrshire Scratch Leagues competition.

A 6 - 0 home win over Ballochmyle took the Irvine club to the top of the table after title holders Loudoun dropped their first point of the season in a  3 - 3 draw away to Troon Welbeck.

Ballochmyle consolidated their position in the top division with a 4 - 2 home win over Kilmarnock (Barassie) recently.

 Prestwick St Cuthbert missed out on the chance to take a clear lead in Division 2 when a good 2.5 - 3.5 away win at Ayr Belleisle was followed by a 4 - 2 home defeat to Girvan.

 Turnberry made it three wins from three in Division 3 with a 5 - 1 home win over Kilbirnie Place, who got their first win of the season recently with a 4 - 2 home victory over Prestwick St Nicholas.
