ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS - Areas subs due by 1st January

All clubs are reminded that the area subscriptions fall due on 1st January and should be paid by that date.

To date, 21 of the 66 member clubs have paid their annual subscription for the forthcoming year.

For a second successive year, the AGA held the per capita at £2.20 based on adult members with playing rights.

The subscription forms, along with entry forms for the Champion Of Champions, Fourball and Scratch league competitions were emailed to all clubs in early November.

Should any club Secretary not have these forms, then they are asked to contact the AGA Secretary ASAP and these will be forwarded again.

The entries for the Champion Of Champions, Fourball and Scratch league competitions are all due to be submitted by 31 January.

AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Honorary membership for retiring Secretary

At the 46th Annual General Meeting of the Ayrshire Junior Golf League, held on Tuesday 3rd December 2013, the retiring Secretary, John Nordbo, was elected an Honorary Member in recognition of his service in recent years as Secretary and his association with The League as junior convenor of his home club at Largs.

The election was proposed by outgoing Chairman Bob Cameron (Ayr Belleisle), who passed over the Chairmanship for 2014 to John Stobie (Prestwick St Nicholas) during the meeting.

Following the retiral of John Nordbo as Secretary, the present Assistant Secretary, Billy Tait, was elected Secretary for the forthcoming year with Gavin Scott (Loudoun) being elected to the post of Assistant Secretary.

Robin Baker (Royal Troon) was re-elected as Treasurer whilst Scott Gilchrist (Loudoun) will remain as the AJGL representative on the Ayrshire Golf Association Executive.

It was agreed at the meeting that the annual subscription for membership of The League would remain unaltered for 2014.
